Terms of Service
Last updated: July 23, 2026
1. What CarNarc is
CarNarc ("the Service", available at carnarc.net) is a crowdsourced road-safety platform where users submit dashcam video and photos of traffic and parking violations. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
2. Your content
You retain ownership of content you upload. By submitting, you grant CarNarc a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and analyze your content as part of operating and commercializing the Service, including licensed data products. You may mark submissions as anonymous; anonymity hides your identity from other users but not from CarNarc itself.
You must only upload content you captured yourself or have rights to. Do not upload content that is staged, misleading, doctored, or obtained illegally.
3. Acceptable use
The Service documents road-safety incidents in public spaces. You agree not to use it to harass, stalk, dox, or target any person; not to submit content unrelated to vehicles and road safety; and not to use footage or data from the Service for vigilantism or unlawful purposes. CarNarc is not a substitute for contacting law enforcement about dangerous situations.
Graphic content is prohibited. Do not upload footage depicting death, serious injury, or gore. Violation clips must document the driving behavior, not its human toll. Such content is removed on sight and repeat submissions lead to account suspension.
4. Points and bounties
Points are a pre-revenue engagement credit with no cash value. Bounty amounts shown on reports are discretionary and subject to verification before any payout. CarNarc may adjust the points system, bounty rules, or eligibility at any time.
5. Moderation
We may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion, including content that violates these Terms, appears inaccurate, or creates legal risk. Scraped or aggregated third-party content is credited to its source and removed on valid request.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. User submissions are unverified allegations, not findings of fact. CarNarc is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Questions: admin@carnarc.net.
