Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account data: email address, username, and profile details you add. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and avatar from Google.

Submissions: videos, photos, titles, descriptions, vehicle details (including license plates you enter), and — if you enable it — the geolocation of the incident. Location is attached to the report, not tracked continuously.

Usage data: votes, view counts, and standard technical logs kept by our infrastructure providers.

2. How we use it

To operate the feed, map, profiles, and bounty features; to moderate content; to compute points; and to build aggregated road-safety data products (for example, incident statistics by area) that may be licensed to partners such as insurers and public agencies. Aggregated products do not include your account identity.

3. What's public

Reports (media, title, location, vehicle details) are public. Your username and public profile stats are visible unless you mark a submission anonymous, in which case other users cannot see your identity on that report. Your email is never public.

4. Storage and providers

Data is stored with Supabase (database and authentication) and Cloudflare R2 (media), processed in the United States. We use industry-standard access controls, including row-level security.

5. Your choices

You can toggle any of your reports between public and anonymous from your profile, and you can request deletion of your account or specific content by emailing admin@carnarc.net. People appearing in submitted footage may request removal review at the same address.

6. Advertising and cookies

We may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites; you can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Third-party vendors' use of advertising cookies is described in Google's advertising policies.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change. Questions: admin@carnarc.net.
